Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Stowe, VT is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide on-site support at local data center facilities. You will handle remote hands, server rack work, cabling and diagnostics, and coordinate client access.

Ideal candidates have hands-on data center experience, knowledge of server hardware and networking, and are able to lift 25 kg. Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and strong English communication are required.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled Data Center Technician in Stowe, United States to provide on-site technical support at local data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps)
• Server rack installation and decommissioning
• Cross-connect and patch panel management
• Hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Visual inspections and inventory audits
• Escort and access coordination for client visits
• Emergency response and on-call availability

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers

Nice to Have

• Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CDCP, CCNA
