Job summary

Reboot Monkey in San Juan, Puerto Rico, United States, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team. This full-time position supports critical infrastructure at world-class facilities, with standard business hours and on-call rotation.

The role requires hands-on data center operations, cabling, equipment deployment, and strong documentation skills. You’ll collaborate with engineering and operations and participate in capacity planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• Experience with Cat6/6a copper and OM3/OM4 fiber.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
