Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our on-site team in Somerville. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining server and network gear, performing structured cabling, and supporting environmental monitoring within a world‑class data center facility.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in data center operations, strong cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber), and familiarity with ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data centre operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Knowledge of ITIL practices (preferred).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
