Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to help maintain mission-critical facilities. You will monitor and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems to ensure high availability and reliability for AWS infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on work with generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and fire/life safety equipment, along with on-site support and travel between data centers as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Travel between data center locations as needed.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management program.
