Job summary

Viridien in Houston seeks a Data Center Technician to install and maintain Linux-based hardware and software, ensuring high availability of systems and networks for sustainable technology services.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and meticulous attention to detail, with duties spanning upgrades, hardware diagnostics, and automated deployment, supporting our global infrastructure in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related computing subjects.
• Some bash scripting preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in HPC environment preferred.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume production systems.
• Good communications and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of GPUs is desirable.
• Detail oriented and works well in a team.
• Must have legal right to live and work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install/configure Linux-based hardware and software.
• Maintain/repair Linux-based systems and equipment.
• Use ticketing system for repairs and maintenance.
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance.
• Track hardware failures and update spares database.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting to resolve problems.
• Monitor systems and deployment with automated infrastructure.
• Adhere to global policies and standards.
• Collaborate with team to deliver reliable infrastructure.
