Job summary

Milestone is seeking a Data Center Technician L2 to join our on-site team in Santa Clara, CA. You will support installs, troubleshoot, and maintain servers and networking gear, ensuring continuous operation of critical data center infrastructure.

You'll use Linux command line and UNIX tools for diagnostics, perform first-level triage on IT hardware, manage the repair queue, and coordinate with partner teams and on-site vendors to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Linux system and network administration.
• Knowledge of PC and server hardware.
• Proficient with Linux command line and UNIX tools.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Able to lift/move 50+ pounds and stay detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support installs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking gear, and cabling.
• Use Linux CLI and client-specific systems for diagnostics.
• Provide first-level triage and debugging of IT hardware issues.
• Manage server repair queue and supervise hardware repairs/reworks.
• Coordinate with partner teams and on-site vendor visits.
