Job summary

C-TEC seeks a Customized Training Instructor - Data Center Technician to deliver high-quality technical instruction to individuals preparing for employment or advancement in the data center industry. The instructor will support C-TEC's Customized Workforce Solutions by providing employer-driven training that builds knowledge, hands-on skills, safety practices, and troubleshooting abilities.

The role focuses on a training program developed with a local data center employer, with collaboration

Qualifications

Experience with data centers or industrial maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in facilities.
Experience troubleshooting equipment.
OSHA and electrical safety credentials.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to complete instructor training and industry certifications.

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction for Data Center Technician programs.
Teach electrical, mechanical, HVAC, power distribution, and related data center topics.
Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, laboratory activities, assessments, and projects aligned with employer needs.
Evaluate participant knowledge through assessments and demonstrations.
Maintain training records and prepare equipment and materials for sessions.
Collaborate with employer partners to reflect current industry practices.
