Job summary

Ericsson Denver is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support the installation, operation, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise environments. You will execute rack-and-stack activities, cabling, PDU connections, testing, and documentation while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, project teams, vendors, and customers while managing assigned work independently.

Responsibilities

• Independently install and deploy servers, network devices, storage equipment, and related infrastructure according to designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, and verify power/connectivity.
• Perform equipment provisioning, hardware installation, and OOB management connections.
• Execute basic testing and validation, including continuity and fiber verification.
• Perform MACDs and FRU replacements following procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, inventory, and as-built docs.
• Escalate design concerns and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
