Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support installation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure in hyperscale and enterprise data centers in Denver, CO. The role suits technicians with data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infra experience and who can work independently on standard deployment tasks.

You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, testing, and operational support, ensuring safety and adherence to Ericsson standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in data center operations, structured cabling, telecom, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking gear, power distribution, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices and basic optical networking concepts.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, installation docs, and MOPs.
• Experience performing rack-and-stack, cabling, testing, and equipment installation with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy servers, network devices, storage, and related infrastructure per designs and docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, install hardware components, and handle OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing and validation, including continuity tests and fiber verification.
• Execute MACDs and standard FRU replacements per approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate installation records, test results, and as-built docs.
• Escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior staff.
