Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to support server, network, and storage deployments in Denver, CO. You will perform rack-and-stack, cabling, equipment provisioning, and testing while following engineering designs and procedures.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, maintain accurate records, and escalate safety or design concerns to site leadership. Travel up to 100% may be required depending on project scopes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience required.
• 1+ years of data center operations, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure support.
• Working knowledge of data center hardware, racks, servers, networking equipment, power distribution systems, and structured cabling.
• Understanding of copper and fiber cabling practices, basic optical networking concepts, and installation standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documentation, and methods of procedure (MOPs).

Responsibilities

• Install servers, network devices, storage according to designs and installation docs.
• Install, route, terminate, and dress copper and fiber cabling with proper labeling and cable management.
• Install rack PDUs, connect equipment to power sources, verify power and management connectivity.
• Provision equipment, hardware component installation, and OOB management connections.
• Perform basic testing and validation: continuity tests, fiber verification, standard turn-up procedures.
• Perform MACD moves/adds/changes and FRU replacements per procedures.
• Maintain installation records, test results, and inventories; update as-built docs.
• Escalate design concerns, operational issues, and safety risks to senior technicians or site leadership.
