Job summary

Sycomp seeks a Data Center Technician to support infrastructure deployments, hardware integration, and hands-on operations in our Burlingame data center. You will install, configure, and test servers, switches, and storage, while maintaining documentation and ensuring quality customer service.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years’ IT/data center experience, strong network fundamentals, and comfort with Linux/Windows environments. A related degree or CCNA/CCNP is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree or relevant professional training.
• CCNA and/or CCNP certifications are a plus.
• 2–5 years in IT, data center operations, or hardware support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test server, network, and storage hardware in data center environments.
• Perform racking, cabling, labeling, and physical setup of infrastructure equipment.
• Work with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues; perform replacements as needed.
• Document work clearly and communicate with team members and clients.
• Follow project scopes, timelines, and established procedures.
