Job summary

STN is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our infrastructure team in Odessa, TX. You’ll oversee installation, maintenance, and support of our data center environment, working hands-on with servers, storage, cabling, and monitoring systems in a security-first organization.

The role requires 4+ years in data center operations, strong hardware experience, and ability to travel up to 50%. You’ll coordinate with NOC and Platform Engineering, perform bring-up, burn-in tests, and maintain

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data center field engineering, deployment engineering, or systems integration.
• Hands-on hardware experience with servers, switches, and storage.
• Proficiency with structured cabling, power distribution, and DCIM tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in data center environments.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.

Responsibilities

• Lead rack-and-stack of GPU servers, switches, and storage at data center sites.
• Cable compute, storage, and high-speed networking per design.
• Configure BMC/iLO/iDRAC and perform firmware bring-up.
• Run burn-in tests including memory and GPU stress.
• Coordinate with NOC and Platform Engineering on cluster bring-up.
• Execute CAT procedures and document results.
• Maintain asset records and DCIM documentation.
• Troubleshoot hardware and power issues.
• Travel to Odessa, TX modular data center site.
• Manage RMA on site including swap-out and return paperwork.
