Job summary

Service Robot Co. is seeking an on-site contractor in Fremont, CA to install and maintain hardware inside data centers. You will work with remote engineers to complete physical tasks such as installing servers, running cables, and replacing failed parts.

Training is provided through the Service Robot Co. Academy, with online courses followed by in-person training and certifications. The first assignment is paid, and you may perform work overnight if required.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, cabling, AV, electronics repair, or building computers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.
• Comfort working independently and communicating with remote engineers.

Responsibilities

• Install, cable, and label servers, switches, and storage equipment.
• Replace drives, memory, power supplies, fans, and optical components.
• Test repairs before closing work tickets.
• Run, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, and approved maintenance schedules.
• Give remote engineers clear updates on what you see and do.
• Record equipment serial numbers, connections, and locations.
• Follow site security procedures when removing or disposing of hardware.

What we are looking for
