Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Data Center Associate for the C-Shift (Mon-Thu 8:00pm-6:30am) at the New Albany datacenter in the USA. The role focuses on material orders, customer service, and inventory management, including server assembly and installation using a range of tools.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, quality checks, cycle counts, and rack installation with precise measurements while ensuring safety and adherence to 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Critical thinking abilities and strong analytical skills are needed to meet production goals.
• Experience with computers is required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, verifying part numbers and quantities.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical parts on site.
• Process return shipments of electronic components using warehouse management systems.
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measurement devices with accuracy.
• Populate components and install cabling into server racks according to diagrams and schematics.
• Install rack hardware using hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintain clean and safe work area following 5s standards.
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability.
• Be flexible to cross-train in multiple departments within the datacenter.
