Job summary

Oracle is seeking a hands-on hardware technician in Chicago to install and configure enterprise servers, perform FRU break/fix replacements, and rack systems with proper cabling and power, handing off to provisioning teams. You’ll resolve Telco connectivity issues and replace switch equipment while maintaining detailed SOPs and documentation.

This role operates within a fast-paced, leading-edge database and applications environment, using structured cabling and fiber/copper/telecom diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Hardware installation & configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
• Hardware Break/Fix replacement of FRU's
• Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up and hand off of servers to internal provisioning teams.
• Troubleshooting and resolve Telco connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot & Replace Network Switch equipment.
• You will communicate within a ticketing environment that is used and supervised by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams.
• Documentation of activities and build/modify SOP's.
• Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables.
• System power supplies and cabling install, fix and repair.Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.
