A Technician’s primary responsibility is working with the crew to complete the scope of work in a safe and timely manner. Technicians generally work on Data Center sites and perform a wide range of work including cleaning, installations, fabrications, deconstruction, repairs, and other various tasks as needed by the customer or project.
Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from team leads, project managers, foremen, and any other managers from sites.
- Be able to identify risk versus reward and minimize risky situations while working on site.
- Work as efficiently as possible and be able to identify problems with the area working.
- Understand surroundings and be able to work in a mission-critical environment.
- Continued improvement and willingness to grow and learn new skills and tasks.
- Be a team player as you will most likely always be working in teams.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through hard work and successful completion of scope of work.
Expectations:
- Report on time to the designated area and prepared to work each day as scheduled.
- Present with appropriate dress and all equipment including PPE for each day.
- Perform work according to scope of work and site standards and regulations.
- Follow company HR and safety policies for conducting work.
- Verify own timesheets and communicate with management if issues are present.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of technician experience.
- Data Center experience is a plus.
- Former construction experience a plus.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the USA.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to work in areas exposed to constant loud noises, temps ranging between 0-100 + degrees, and be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet 90% of the day or more.
- Must effectively communicate with other team members.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
