Job summary

Google Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Technical Operations Manager, Third Party Data Centers to oversee co-location operations for electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure. You will partner with Google Data Center engineering teams, hardware operations, network infrastructure, and third-party vendors to ensure operability, maintainability and reliability of data center assets.

Qualifications

Associate's degree, trade school certificate, or equivalent training in a related technical field.
9 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls in industrial/commercial environments.
3 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.

Responsibilities

Test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for critical equipment operation in data center domain.
Lead compliance activities for data centers globally and analyze results.
Monitor data center systems operations and manage site activities to minimize risk and ensure effective response to excursions.
Develop strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum and improve efficiency.
Oversee operability, maintainability, and reliability of assets in co-location operations.
