Job summary

Leidos’ Digital Sector seeks a Data Center System Administrator to support data center operations, including rack and stack tasks, upgrades, and ensuring power transfer during outages. The role covers hybrid cloud-hosting support and collaborative work to meet mission needs.

The incumbent will implement rack standards, troubleshoot hardware, coordinate with customers, and provide incident analysis and remediation. Mentoring peers and updating 24/7 documentation are essential components.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers to handle service inquiries and problems.
• Experience working in a data center.
• Knowledge of data center standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of power infrastructure layout from generation to rack level, redundancy levels and techniques, and related containment and safety standards.
• Experience with Tier 2 system administration and remote access restoration procedures.
• Experience troubleshooting issues in a growing environment.
• Strong time management and communications skills.
• Experience mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Rack and stack equipment; support upgrades and consolidations.
• Support 24/7/365 mission operations and respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Coordinate data collection, analysis, and implementation for incident tickets.
• Develop solutions to complex technical issues and provide root-cause reports.
• Update 24/7/365 operations documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and support military-related projects.
