Job summary

Core Scientific, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Supervisor to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and support of high-performance computing infrastructure in an on-site data center.

You will manage staff, ensure uptime, enforce procedures, and collaborate with IT, engineering, and research teams to support compute-intensive workloads. Responsibilities include deployments, inventory control, asset lifecycle management, capacity planning, and labor management for site activities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in a data center environment.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Understanding of network, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Proficiency with web-based programs and Microsoft Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Data Center Manager with deployments, decommissions, Data Center operations, and training of new employees.
  • Oversees all aspects of the warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Assists with Asset Lifecycle Management from arrival to the Data Center to RMA retirement.
  • Responsible for recording received inventory and deployment deliveries.
  • Manages time off requests and approval of timesheets.
  • Assists with planning for deployments of client-hosted assets, including validation of capacity, power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
  • Assists with labor management for site stand-up, customer move-in, or decommission activities.
  • Assists with goal setting for the performance and evolution of the Data Center.
  • Assists with defining, maintaining, and enforcing performance metrics in all facets of the Data Center.
  • Ensure employees are trained and understand how to complete their jobs.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team, with co-workers/teammates, and leaders across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Job

  • A good understanding of network, electrical, mechanical, and building systems is required.
  • Proficient with web‑based programs, and Excel and Word processing are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Basic product knowledge of blockchain and network equipment is preferred.

Location & Travel

On‑site travel: Occasional travel between data centers may be required.

Work Environment

This job is operated in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to both hot and cold environments.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift to 50 pounds.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time, onsite position. Some nights and weekends may be required.
