Data Center Structured Cabling Technician I

Location: Manassas, VA Schedule/Shift: Monday through Saturday; currently nights, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Data Center Structured Cabling Technician I supports fiber and copper cabling installations at a large colocation data center. Responsibilities include pulling, dressing, terminating, testing, patching, and labeling cabling throughout the facility. This position is suited for someone with a strong work ethic who is interested in developing a career in structured cabling.

Job Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and dress fiber and copper cabling throughout the facility.
• Perform cable termination, testing, patching, and labeling as assigned.
• Maintain organized cable routing and cable management.
• Check completed work for accuracy and follow project specifications.
• Follow site safety procedures and direction from field leadership.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work with team members to complete daily installation tasks.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity with structured cabling installation tasks, including pulling, dressing, terminating, testing, patching, and labeling fiber and copper cabling.
• Ability to follow installation instructions and direction from field leadership.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday on the current night shift schedule.
