Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Technician II to support large-scale data center and telecommunications structured cabling projects. You will install, route, terminate, label and test cabling, and install racks, patch panels and cross-connects.

This role requires 1–2+ years in telecom or structured cabling, the ability to read blueprints, and willingness to travel 100% to project sites. A high school diploma or GED is required; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of telecommunications, low-voltage or structured cabling experience.
• Experience with copper cabling installation, termination, testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints and project documentation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be willing and able to travel 100%.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, terminate, label and test structured cabling.
• Install racks, backboards, patch panels, cross-connects and related hardware.
• Terminate jacks, 110/66 blocks and patch panels.
• Perform continuity testing and troubleshoot cabling issues.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cabling as required.
