Jacobs is hiring a Start-Up/Commissioning Manager for an onsite data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You will lead a diverse team, coordinate commissioning of critical systems, and guide turnover from construction to operations on a fast-paced site.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5–14 years in start-up/commissioning, and travel flexibility. You will supervise cross-discipline efforts, support safety, and ensure documentation compliance throughout startup and energization activities.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• 5-14 years of Start-Up and Commissioning experience in the Data Center or equivalent mission-critical facilities
• Experience managing the commissioning of critical systems and infrastructure
• Experience in a supervisory/managerial role with cross-discipline coordination in mission-critical environments
• Proficient with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel
• Willingness to travel and work at various client locations
• On-site presence required for duration of work
• OSHA 10 certification
• Experience standardizing processes across locations
• Track record coordinating multi-site teams and providing oversight across sites
• Experience traveling between project sites for oversight and support

Responsabilités

• Develop Project Start-Up and Commissioning Plan and execution strategies
• Lead the team in Developing System Start-Up and Commissioning Plans for Electrical and HVAC/Cooling systems
• Lead the team in Generating and executing Start-Up and Commissioning documents
• Startup equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Facilitate meetings for the Start-Up Team
• Maintain action item lists
• Maintain engineering change control logs
• Provide technical assistance and input
• Coordinate OEM Service technicians as needed
• Coordinate with construction management and turnover teams for seamless transition from construction to commissioning
• Apply knowledge of mission-critical HVAC, electrical distribution, backup power, instrumentation, controls, and automation to support clients
