Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Structural/Mechanical Designer to join our data center solutions team. You will perform concept design of data center architecture, coordinate with HVAC, electrical, and fire protection disciplines, and produce detailed design documents showing site, structural, and system layouts.

You will engage with customers, interpret requirements, and propose robust, modular solutions that meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience in structural/mechanical systems.
• Strong CAD capabilities for site, structural, and system layouts.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand RFP and tender documents.
• Read and understand customer requirements from SA and sales team.
• Concept design of data center architecture and equipment.
• Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, controls, and fire protection disciplines.
• Dimensioning and specification of structural and architectural parts of modular buildings.
• Technical project coordination with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare and provide design documents for Vertiv modular data center solutions.
• Communicate with customers to propose optimal solutions.
• Support SA and sales team with solution-based thinking.
