Job description

Company: KGO, LLC

KGO is seeking an experienced Site Scheduler to support the delivery of a large-scale, mission-critical data center project in the Barber Lake, Texas area.

This is a highly visible, field-based position requiring an experienced scheduler who can operate independently in a fast-paced data center environment. The Site Scheduler will work directly with project leadership, Construction Managers, contractors, trade partners, commissioning teams, and other stakeholders to maintain an accurate, field-driven view of project progress and schedule performance.

This position is 100% on-site, five days per week minimum, and will support the project end-to-end from construction through commissioning, equipment deployment, and rack turn-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site scheduling support throughout the full data center construction lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Support the project end-to-end from active construction through rack turn-up and operational readiness.
  • Work directly with field teams to validate actual progress against the project schedule.
  • Conduct regular field walks to verify percent complete, sequencing, constraints, and upcoming activities.
  • Integrate contractor, subcontractor, vendor, commissioning, and equipment schedules into the overall project schedule.
  • Track critical-path and near-critical-path activities and proactively identify potential schedule impacts.
  • Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules, milestone tracking, schedule narratives, and progress reports.
  • Identify schedule constraints, dependencies, and risks before they affect key project milestones.
  • Support recovery planning and schedule mitigation when activities fall behind.
  • Coordinate closely with Construction Managers, Field Engineers, MEP teams, commissioning teams, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Track equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, turnover, and rack deployment milestones.
  • Provide project leadership with timely, concise, and actionable schedule information.
  • Escalate emerging schedule risks immediately in an environment where issues cannot wait for the next scheduled progress meeting.
  • Use modern technology and AI-enabled tools to improve schedule analysis, reporting, information retrieval, and overall project execution.
Required Experience
  • Demonstrated scheduling experience on data center, mission-critical, or similarly complex construction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed construction schedules.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical-path methodology, schedule logic, float, constraints, and milestone management.
  • Ability to translate actual field conditions and contractor updates into an accurate project schedule.
  • Experience working with general contractors, subcontractors, MEP trades, commissioning teams, and Owner’s Representatives.
  • Experience supporting projects through construction, commissioning, turnover, and operational readiness.
  • Experience working in large union-trade construction environments is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment involving multiple contractors, trades, and concurrent workstreams.
What We’re Looking For

Soft skills matter just as much as technical scheduling credentials.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Grit and a strong sense of ownership
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving ability
  • Confidence working in demanding field environments
  • Comfort operating within large union-trade environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with field trades, contractors, and senior project leadership
  • A bias toward action and problem resolution
  • Strong organizational and reporting discipline
  • Comfort operating at an accelerated pace
  • Fluency with technology and AI-enabled tools
  • The ability to be self-directed and productive from day one

This is not a position for someone who simply updates activities in P6 based on information provided by others.

We are looking for a field-driven scheduler who understands what’s actually happening on the jobsite, asks the right questions, challenges inaccurate or incomplete information, recognizes when actual progress doesn’t align with the schedule, understands the downstream implications, and communicates and escalates those risks before they become project delays.
