Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Site Manager to lead our specialized data center operations, ensuring uptime and reliability of critical facilities, cooling, and power systems. You will guide engineering teams, manage complex vendor networks, and uphold CBRE’s operational standards.

The role requires hands-on data center experience, strong leadership, and ability to coordinate across teams, vendors, and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Facility management certification preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, coaching, mentoring, and measuring performance is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and mathematical ability are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following regulations. Suggest operational improvements.
  • Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for procurement.
  • Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.

We are seeking a Data Center Site Manager to lead our specialized technical operations. This critical role requires a professional with deep, hands-on data center experience. You must understand complex infrastructure like cooling systems, redundant power supplies, and strict uptime requirements.

In this role, your technical expertise will directly protect our clients' most valuable digital assets. You will lead skilled engineering teams and manage complex vendor networks. Your background in critical environments will ensure we maintain our industry-leading operational standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
