Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience or a combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing.
  • Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to coach others and lead by example within CBRE RISE values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and inspect the work of engineering staff to ensure tools and equipment are functional.
  • Review monthly service summaries to identify recurrent issues.
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for building systems.
  • Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure optimal operation and client conditions.
  • Estimate time and materials for repairs and manage inventory of supplies.
  • Assist team with complex repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to improve methods and meet department goals.
  • Lead by example and influence stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to new products, processes, and standards within the organization.

We are seeking a Data Center Team Leaderto lead one of our specialized technical operations. This critical rolerequires a professional with deep, hands-on data center experience. You mustunderstand complex infrastructure like cooling systems, redundant powersupplies, and strict uptime requirements.

In this role, your technical expertisewill directly protect our clients' most valuable digital assets. You will leadskilled engineering teams and manage complex vendor networks. Your backgroundin critical environments will ensure we maintain our industry-leadingoperational standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and inspect the workperformed by engineering staff. Ensure that work is complete, equipment isfully functional, and client space is in prime working condition.
  • Review monthly service requestsummaries to identify and address recurrent operational problems.
  • Formulate and implement apreventative maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systemsmeet or exceed their rated life.
  • Inspect building systemsincluding fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipmentis within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribedby the client.
  • Review assigned workorders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Maintain aninventory of adequate supplies and tools and order necessary materials.
  • Assist team with complexrepairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
  • Apply advanced knowledgeto seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual anddepartment objectives.
  • Showcase expertise in own jobdiscipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within theorganization function.
  • Coach others to developin-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and modelbehaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipate potentialobjections and persuade others, often at senior levels and of divergentinterest, to adopt a different point of view. Impact the achievement ofcustomer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-disciplineteams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design ofprocedures and policies.

What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, ortrade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of adiploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Priorshift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Meet the physical requirementsof this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders,and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Willingness to take a newperspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of MicrosoftOffice products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizationalskills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Sophisticated math skills. Abilityto calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and otherfinancial-related calculations.
  • Ability to impact a rangeof customer, operation, project, or service activities within own team andother related teams. Capability to work within broad guidelines and policies.Proficiency in coaching others and sharing in-depth knowledge of own jobdiscipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.Skill in leading by example and modeling behaviors that are consistent withCBRE RISE values. Ability to build consensus and convince others to reach anagreement
  • The minimum salary for the Data Center Team Lead position is $85,000 / $40.87 hr annually and the maximum salary of $98,000/$47.12/hr annually .
