Job summary

United Engines is looking for a Data Center Service Sales Representative to grow revenue by building and managing customer relationships in the data center market. You will identify opportunities, promote service solutions, and collaborate with operations to deliver value.

You will develop strategic accounts, negotiate service agreements, and maintain an active CRM pipeline while ensuring safety and compliance in all activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience.
  • Experience selling services, power systems, electrical equipment, industrial solutions, or data center services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience working with mission-critical facilities, data centers, or critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with data center owners, operators, contractors, engineers, and facility managers.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities to increase service and repair sales.
  • Promote company capabilities, including preventive maintenance, emergency response services, electrical testing, power systems services, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and related solutions.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, presentations, and service agreements.
  • Conduct customer visits, facility walkthroughs, and business reviews to identify service opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and technical teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Manage customer accounts and maintain an active sales pipeline through CRM systems.
  • Negotiate service agreements and pricing within established company guidelines.
  • Develop strategic account plans to grow existing customer relationships and expand service offerings.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitive activities.
  • Achieve established sales objectives, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote services.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical business practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Data Center Service Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing customer relationships within the data center market. The role focuses on increasing market share, achieving sales targets, and supporting long-term customer partnerships.

  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure, electrical power systems, critical power equipment, or industrial service solutions preferred.

  • Ability to analyze customer needs and develop value-based solutions.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with mission‑critical facilities, data centers, or critical infrastructure environments is strongly preferred.

Physical Activities & Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision for reading documents and computer screens
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly with internal and external stake holders.
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, industry events, and company facilities.
  • Ability to walk through industrial, commercial, and data center environments.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to visit warehouses, shop, and operational work environments as needed.

Working Conditions:

  • Combination of office, customer site, data center, and industrial work environments.
  • Moderate travel may be required within assigned territory.
  • Occasional work outside normal business hours to support customer needs and business development activities.
