Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Advanced Security System Engineering Manager to lead security services within AIS data centers in Virginia. You will drive operational security excellence, manage communications with stakeholders, and guide improvements to surveillance and access-control systems.

You will extract metrics from security operations, translate strategy into daily tactics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable infrastructure for AWS customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of process improvement procedures experience.
• Experience overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage chat queue, phone communications, trouble tickets, and customer support.
• Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance vigilance and effectiveness.
• Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics.
• Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.
• Support daily operational security across a data center campus.
• Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.
