Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Security Specialist to drive security excellence across multiple facilities within a short drive. You will work with security vendors, analyze data, and implement improvements in surveillance, access controls, and alarm reduction strategies.

You will also write reports and presentations for management, and help educate occupants on security best practices as part of an inclusive, high-standards Infrastructure Operations team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• 2+ years experience in security roles, preferably in a large footprint / campus model or similar environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of law enforcement or security-related experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• 2+ years Security experience or equivalent (demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education).

Responsibilities

• Drive operational security excellence in several facilities within a short driving distance.
• Interface with vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily operations and patrols.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements by analyzing hard data.
• Educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions.
• Write and implement security processes and procedures; write reports and presentations.
• Communicate status of physical security operations to management.
