Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist to drive operational security across multiple facilities within a GovCloud region. You will lead investigations, manage vendor security partnerships, and develop procedures to strengthen data center protection.

You will design and implement security programs, deliver awareness training, and use data-driven metrics to monitor improvements while interfacing with leadership on status and risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements.
• Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems.
• Experience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete standard tasks for operational security as part of a security operations team across multiple facilities.
• Drive security awareness campaigns to enhance vigilance and effectiveness.
• Use tools to complete tasks such as workflow ticketing and analyze data to track key performance metrics.
• Lead security investigations across campus facilities.
• Oversee physical security vendors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls.
• Promote security strategy and culture daily to achieve security goals.
• Support or own security projects.
• Provide security awareness training to data center personnel.
• As this is a GovCloud region, the selected candidate requires US Citizenship or equivalent status.
