Job summary

Vantage Data Centers in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Manager to develop, execute, and oversee data center security operations and programs. You will create and verify compliance with security procedures, training, standards, and policies while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of physical security at our facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of security management experience, preferably in data centers or critical infrastructure.
• Experience with heavy construction and security in dynamic environments.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency with security reporting tools and software.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for equipment or software issues.
• Ability to develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data center security operations and programs at the Ashburn site.
• Manage vendor service calls and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Train personnel in physical security procedures and equipment use; update policies and drawings.
• Enforce safety regulations, control access, and escort visitors and staff as needed.
• Generate reports for audits and customers; manage third-party invoices.
• Configure security panels, manage access levels, and retrieve video footage when required.
• Collaborate with Design/Engineering, Site Operations, and Construction to meet standards and timelines.
• Lead setup of security for new sites and coordinate across teams.
• Provide technical support and manage spare parts inventory.
