Job summary
M.C. Dean in Charleston, SC is seeking a Data Center Security Installation Commissioning Specialist (Tech Specialist 2) to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit.
You will interpret drawings and programming sheets and configure devices to meet specifications for electronic security projects at data centers. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of installation or testing experience with electronic security systems, or an Associate degree with 6+ years, and willingness to travel
Qualifications
- 8+ years of installation, troubleshooting and/or testing electronic security systems or an Associate+ with 6+ years of experience.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
- Experience interpreting drawings and programming sheets; configuring devices as specified.
Responsibilities
- Pretest electronic security equipment before deployment to the field.
- Perform site surveys and document conditions in Bluebeam.
- Configure field devices including IP address assignments for cameras and firmware updates for control boards.
- Upload configuration files to Cisco switches and use access control software to configure doors.
- Lead system commissioning activities with the customer testing agent.
- Troubleshoot field devices and pass acceptance testing.
