Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Security Installation Commissioning Specialist (Tech Specialist 2) for our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in Lancaster, TX.

The role focuses on pretesting, auditing drawings, site surveys, and hands-on configuration of security systems across field deployments. You will lead commissioning activities with the customer testing agent, troubleshoot devices, and support multiple tasks concurrently.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of installation, troubleshooting and/or testing electronic security systems with a High School Diploma/GED; or an Associate's degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Reliable attendance at customer sites during scheduled hours.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends.
• Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Pretest electronic security equipment before deployment to the field.
• Audit security drawings for quality prior to installation.
• Conduct site surveys and document conditions in Bluebeam.
• Configure field devices (IP cameras, access control boards, Cisco switches, door access software).
• Troubleshoot field devices (cameras, doors, switches).
• Lead system commissioning activities with the customer testing agent.
