Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Dispatch Communications Specialist in Sterling, VA. This part-time role focuses on coordinating dispatches, monitoring security systems, and delivering excellent customer service in a technology-focused data center setting.

You will log incidents, assist with access requests, and support on-site personnel during emergencies. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to grow within a leading security and facilities services company.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures within a technology-focused data center.
• Monitor dispatch communications, prioritize requests for service, and coordinate on-site personnel responses.
• Maintain dispatch logs, incident records, and visitor/contractor activity per site procedures.
• Monitor security systems (cameras, alarms, access control) and report irregularities promptly.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, coordinated manner and assist with notifications.
