Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Specialist, Physical Security Assurance to execute audits, validate controls, and improve program maturity across North America. The role requires coordinating with security, operations, technology, and construction teams to ensure consistent implementation of standards and rapid remediation of issues.

You will collect evidence, document findings, and maintain audit records while supporting the development of reports and action plans.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant experience in physical security, quality assurance, audit, compliance, risk management, or a related control-based environment.
• Working knowledge of access control systems, video management systems, intrusion detection and alarm systems
• Ability to apply audit methodologies and translate requirements into repeatable test procedures
• Experience documenting findings and managing corrective actions
• Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau

Responsibilities

• Audit Execution and Control Testing: Conduct site audits, assessments, and control testing across physical security environments
• Audit Execution and Control Testing: Execute standardized control test procedures and validation processes aligned with enterprise frameworks
• Audit Execution and Control Testing: Perform physical inspections of security infrastructure, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems
• Audit Execution and Control Testing: Validate system configuration, coverage, and operational performance
• Data Collection and Documentation: Collect, review, and maintain audit evidence in accordance with established standards and audit requirements
• Data Collection and Documentation: Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
• Data Collection and Documentation: Maintain detailed audit records, workpapers, and supporting artifacts
• Data Collection and Documentation: Support development of audit reports and findings documentation
• Data Collection and Documentation: Coordinate evidence collection and validation for internal and external audits, customer reviews, and other assurance activities
• Data Collection and Documentation: Support document lifecycle activities, including version control, periodic review, approval tracking, publication, retention, and archival
• Compliance Management: Maintain the corrective-action register and monitor action owners, target dates, aging, status, and closure evidence
• Compliance Management: Review remediation evidence to determine whether corrective actions sufficiently address identified deficiencies
• Compliance Management: Escalate overdue, recurring, or material control deficiencies in accordance with established governance requirements
• Compliance Management: Support root-cause analysis for recurring findings and systemic control weaknesses
• Compliance Management: Support the maintenance of physical security risk registers and facilitate the linkage of assessment findings, control deficiencies, and corrective actions to applicable risks
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance reviews of physical security programs, processes, and audit deliverables to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with established standards and governance requirements
• Quality Assurance: Analyze audit, assessment, and compliance data to identify trends, recurring control deficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement across the physical security program
• Quality Assurance: Support the development and maintenance of quality metrics, performance indicators, and assurance reporting to measure program effectiveness and drive operational excellence
• Quality Assurance: Maintain dashboards and recurring reports covering assessment completion, control-test results, findings by severity, remediation aging, overdue actions, repeat findings, evidence quality, and control effectiveness
• Operational Assurance Support: Perform periodic assurance checks and control reviews beyond formal audits
• Operational Assurance Support: Monitor and evaluate control performance and relevant system-health indicators
• Operational Assurance Support: Support the development and implementation of continuous-assurance processes and capabilities
• Operational Assurance Support: Manage assigned assessments and assurance deliverables with limited day-to-day supervision
• Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with site security teams, regional operations, and technical teams to clarify audit findings, validate corrective actions, and ensure alignment with security standards
