Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Site Safety Manager for a Data Center project in Lubbock, TX. You will provide safety leadership, support operations, and ensure compliance with OSHA and contract requirements.

You will lead safety plans, conduct site audits, coordinate training, and manage incident investigations, communicating findings to Senior Leadership as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Construction Management preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 510, and First Aid/CPR certifications; CHST credential desired.
• 5–7 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role.
• Prior experience as Electrician highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and safety regulations.
• Proficient computer and communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management and field employees.
• Maintaining driving qualifications as per IES Fleet Safety Program.
• Background check and MVR checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety leadership and technical support to operations and project teams, reports out safety performance.
• Advises Operations Team and Project Managers on safety requirements during work planning.
• Reviews site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and related documentation; escalates issues as needed.
• Conducts regular job-site audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe work practices.
• Leads new hire and site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings.
• Responds to incidents and safety concerns; leads investigations and communicates findings to leadership.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards; maintains necessary documentation.
• Coordinates safety training and maintains required safety certifications.
• Monitors subcontractor activities for safety compliance.
