Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join the Asset Management & Reliability team within Facility Operations. You will lead reliability initiatives across the data center fleet, manage asset lifecycle, and coordinate with global stakeholders to ensure seamless operations across sites.

You will drive scoping, roadmapping, and technical direction for reliability efforts, tackling complex problems and delivering measurable improvements in MTTR/MTBF and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability Engineering, or a similar technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years of reliability engineering experience related to electrical or mechanical cooling equipment or related roles.
• Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and FMEA activities for maintenance and design optimization.
• Ability to independently scope work, set technical direction, and manage complex problems.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems to extract data and gain insights.
• Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 14224, ISO 17359, ISO 55000).
• Experience with program/project management and cross-functional leadership.
• Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational FMEA and establish maintenance strategies.
• Govern content for the Global Maintenance Library and enforce maintenance change processes.
• Drive corrective maintenance through root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Evaluate regulatory requirements and ensure governance across reliability activities.
• Oversee condition-based monitoring and diagnostics programs including vibration, IR, PD, and robotics.
• Assess and optimize MTTR and MTBF for continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain risk models to prioritize resources and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Manage supplier scope to meet reliability and quality standards.
• Implement sensor-based monitoring to remotely assign maintenance tasks.
• Decide insourcing vs outsourcing for maintenance and reliability activities.
• Establish BOM setups and drive spare parts selection.
• Develop a comprehensive sparing strategy to minimize downtime.
• Identify FOK parts and establish FBPNs.
• Perform Form-Fit-Function analysis for replacements.
• Coordinate with IBOS and ISCE teams for parts backlog, tooling, and audits.
• Create scope for reliability opportunities and drive engineering excellence.
