Job summary

The Archetype Strategy is seeking a Data Center Redlining Technician to support cabling infrastructure projects by accurately documenting field changes and updating drawing markups (redlines). This role bridges installation teams and engineering to ensure all cabling, rack, and pathway changes are captured for as-built documentation.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in structured cabling, fiber tracing, and rack/patch panel environments, with the ability to interpret and update

Qualifications

• Experience documenting field changes and updating drawings.
• Ability to interpret and update technical drawings.
• Experience with MAC work in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Perform redlining of data center drawings (rack elevations, floor layouts, cable pathways).
• Trace and document A-to-B connectivity (fiber and copper).
• Update patch panel ports, switch connections, and rack positions.
• Identify labeling discrepancies and undocumented cabling.
• Mark MAC work clearly on drawings and collaborate with field techs, PMs, and CAD teams.
• Capture field data using markup tools (Bluebeam Revu) and spreadsheets.
