Archetype Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Data Center Redlining Technician to support cabling infrastructure projects in Austin, Texas. The role involves documenting field changes and updating drawing markups to ensure accurate as-built documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structured cabling and fiber tracing, with the ability to interpret technical drawings. Key responsibilities include redlining data center drawings, documenting connectivity, and collaborating closely with installation teams and engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in structured cabling, fiber tracing, and rack/patch panel environments.
• Ability to interpret and update technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform redlining of data center drawings including rack elevations and floor layouts.
• Trace and document A-to-B cable connectivity (fiber and copper).
• Update patch panel port assignments, switch connections, and rack/unit positions.
• Identify and correct labeling discrepancies and missing cabling.
• Mark adds, moves, and changes (MAC work) clearly on drawings.
• Capture field data using markup tools, spreadsheets, and cable schedules.
• Provide clean, organized redlines for as-built conversion.
