Job description

Are you detail-driven, safety-minded, and passionate about getting things done right the first time? We’re looking for a Data Center Quality, Safety, and Training Coordinator to support mission‑critical data center projects by ensuring quality installations, safe job sites, and a well‑trained workforce.

In this role, you’ll work closely with field leadership, technicians, and project teams to maintain compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards. You’ll play a key role in reinforcing operational excellence, documentation accuracy, and a culture of continuous improvement across data center operations.

What You’ll Do – Inspect Thoroughly. Train Effectively. Promote Safety.
  • Perform daily inspections of installation work including cabling, pathways, grounding, racks, and equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, BICSI/industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Support QA/QC checklists, testing documentation, and punch list tracking.
  • Document deficiencies, coordinate corrective actions with supervisors, and verify closeout.
  • Assist the Document Control team with Fluke and OTDR test result collection, review, and electronic archiving.
  • Prepare quality reports and update dashboards for management review.
  • Conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and toolbox talks, ensuring site safety plans are implemented and followed.
  • Perform routine safety walks to verify compliance with OSHA regulations, client safety policies, and company procedures.
  • Monitor PPE usage, safe work practices, and equipment certifications.
  • Report, document, and assist with incident and near‑miss investigations.
  • Maintain safety logs, permits, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate and track onboarding for new hires, including safety orientation and site‑specific training.
  • Support scheduling of internal and external technical training (BICSI, Fluke certifications, OEM product training).
  • Maintain training matrices and ensure all certifications remain current.
  • Deliver refresher training on company processes, QA/QC standards, and safety practices.
  • Support leadership in promoting a “zero‑harm” safety mindset and a culture of quality execution.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, telecommunications, or data center environments.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards, quality control practices, and construction processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to engage supervisors, technicians, and client representatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn internal QA and safety platforms.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • BICSI Installer I/II or equivalent low‑voltage experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Fluke or Viavi test equipment and documentation.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Prior experience coordinating training programs or managing certification records.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work performed in active data center construction and operational environments (indoor and outdoor).
  • Must be able to walk job sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required use of PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, vest, gloves, boots, and hearing protection as needed.
  • Occasional regional travel between job sites.
