Job summary

Muth Electric Inc is seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC leader for a Data Center project in Fargo, ND. This temporary role requires MSHA training provided by Muth Electric, with underground work conditions.

You will oversee quality control across the project lifecycle, implement QA/QC plans, and coordinate with clients, engineers, and inspectors to ensure compliance with NEC and project specifications. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent field experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor QA QC work progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
• Troubleshoot field issues and identify solutions to minimize delays.
• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans per Muth Electric standards.
• Inspect electrical installations for NEC, drawings, and specs compliance.
• Document inspections, testing results, and corrective actions.
• Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet standards.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Support commissioning and turnover documentation.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Muth Electric is looking for an Experience Electrical QA/QC leader for a Data Center in Fargo, ND upholding and enhancing the standards of our products and services. This jobsite will be underground and requires MSHA training provided by Muth Electric, Inc., although previous certifications are a plus.

Your responsibilities encompass overseeing and implementing quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. This is currently a temporary role.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor QA QC work progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
• Troubleshoot field issues and proactively identify solutions to minimize delays.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project-specific QA/QC plans in accordance with Muth Electric standards.
• Conduct inspections and tests of electrical installations to verify compliance with NEC, drawings, and project specifications.
• Document inspections, testing results, and corrective actions as required.
• Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship meet quality and contract standards.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and inspectors to resolve quality issues.
• Support commissioning and turnover documentation.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, craftsmanship, and pride in quality work.
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers and contractors to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and inspections to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Work closely with procurement teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management detailing project quality performance and areas for improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
• Work closely with regulatory agencies during inspections and approvals.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent field experience will be considered.

Experience

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience, including supervisory roles.
• Proven experience with QA/QC processes, testing, and inspections in electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, or utility-scale electrical installations preferred.
• Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is a preferred.

Working Conditions

• Work is primarily performed on construction sites and may require travel.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Extended hours, nights, or weekends may be required to meet project schedules.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform job duties requiring standing, bending, and climbing.
