Job summary

SB Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead medium-to-large construction capital projects, including data centers, on-site near Temple, TX.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, proficiency with Procore/Cx Alloy/P6, and strong vendor negotiation skills. Base pay ranges from $140,000 to $170,000 with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years leading construction projects of increasing complexity.
• 5+ years hyperscale or colocation data center experience.
• Multi-prime or alternate procurement delivery experience preferred.
• Experience with Procore, Cx Alloy and P6 is preferred.

Job description

SB Energy is looking for a Project Manager to lead and drive success on new and ongoing, medium-to-large-sized construction capital projects including Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team, contractors, operations teams and clients.
• Submit monthly project financial reporting including forecasting, cash-flow, etc.
• Review monthly contractor billing and perform job walks to substantiate progress.
• Develop, lead, maintain, and assist with contract negotiation of new and existing vendors.
• Lead input and delivery of work products from internal team members to ensure that new data center spaces align with the project requirements, customer requirements, all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.
• Develop, document, and drive lessons learned, process improvements, cost, and schedule savings initiatives throughout the project lifecycle process.
• Work closely with the Operations to coordinate design criteria with budgetary issues and ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities
• Perform and or supervise weekly safety walks to ensure contractors are following SB Energy EHS policies.
• Awareness of the importance of mission-critical facility operation.
• Additional duties as assigned from time to time by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading construction projects of increasing complexity required, 7-10 years preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hyperscale or colocation-provider data center experience.
• Multi-prime or alternate procurement delivery experience is preferred.
• Procore, Cx Alloy, and P6 experience preferred.
• Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a requirement.
• Location: On-site near Temple, TX.
• Base Pay - $140,000 - $170,000
