Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a project manager focused on client development and delivery of data center projects, spanning from upfront planning through commissioning.

The role leads multi-disciplinary design teams and coordinates work for HDR's global client base, with travel to client sites or HDR offices. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of data center experience and at least 2 years of project management, proficiency in MS Office and MS Project, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• 7 years of data center experience.
• Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
• MS Office and MS Project experience required; Access is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods and standards to achieve the goals of the business group, region, and company.
• Manage and lead project teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Travel to project sites (10-20%), including international travel as needed.
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate international project support.
• Control project budget, scope, and schedule.
• Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
• Forecasting, invoicing, and contract management.
• Promote HDR through regular client interface.
• Engage in mission-critical staff recruiting in collaboration with the Business Group Manager.
• Create essential proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Lead HDR presentations at interview events.
• Work cooperatively with local office leads, other business group leads, technical directors, and marketing managers.

The ideal candidate has proven experience delivering data center and mission-critical projects from upfront planning and pre-design through detail design, construction support, and commissioning. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary design teams and developing and securing work from HDR's global client base, with some travel to client sites or HDR offices required.
