Carter Machinery Co. Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Manager in Houston, TX to drive technical knowledge and comprehensive management of Power Systems projects from inception to close, ensuring maximum gross profit and superior customer satisfaction.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders while traveling as needed to meet project demands and uphold our values.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• College degree in related field, preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data center project management to maximize gross profit and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, vendors, and utility companies
• Travel as required to meet project and customer demands

Job Title: Data Center Project Manager

Location: Houston, Texas

Starting Compensation Range: $90,000 to $105,000 per year

The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for providing the technical knowledge and comprehensive management needed to execute Power Systems sales orders per project specifications in a manner that achieves maximum gross profit while promoting the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements for the Data Center Project Manager position include:

• Basic knowledge of the following: BAS/BMS communication, Protective relaying, Breaker design and functionality, Modbus/Ethernet communication, Generator paralleling, Diesel engine operating requirements/room design, Fuel and Cooling systems, Emissions regulations and testing, applicable electrical and regulatory codes
• Functional competency on all associated software and operating systems, including Word, Excel, EBMS, Sales Force, DBS, Cat PowerNet, SIS-WEB, PSQ, Lotus Notes, EOMP, AutoCAD and Adobe Standard
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, required
• Strong leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork
• Must be able to multi-task while maintaining organized and detailed
• Experience in conflict resolution with contractors, consultants, engineers, vendors, utility companies, end-users, etc.
• Able to travel and work hours required for job and customer demand
• Must have an excellent driving record

Seeking Candidates with:

• Minimum two years' industrial/electrical power generation systems equipment project management experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• College degree in related field, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
