Job summary

Hired by Matrix, Inc is seeking a Data Center Project Manager for a contract onsite engagement in the United States. You will lead mission-critical life safety and security system deployments, coordinating design, procurement, installation and closeout across cross-functional teams.

The role requires five years of PM experience in security, fire alarm or construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with Smartsheet or Excel. High school diploma and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in project/program management within security, fire alarm, or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of Division 28 systems (CCTV, access control, life safety systems).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with material management, procurement workflows, and inventory tracking.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-visibility, mission-critical environments.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet or Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead mission-critical projects from initiation through closeout.
• Ensure successful delivery of life safety and security systems across high-priority deployments.
• Combine program-level strategy with hands-on project execution focused on schedule certainty, material readiness, quality assurance, and customer alignment.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects including design coordination, material procurement, provisioning, installation, and closeout.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with a focus on schedule adherence, cost control, and quality execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and proactively mitigate risks and constraints.
• Ensure full visibility and control of material flow, inventory tracking, and provisioning readiness.
• Drive cross-functional alignment between PMO, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Field Teams.
• Oversee documentation including RFIs, change orders, permits, and closeout packages.
• Identify, track, and manage project constraints and risks.
• Support change order development, scope management, and customer communication.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Provide clear and consistent communication to internal stakeholders and customers on project status, risks, and financials.
• Act as a leader and mentor within the team, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
• Support program-level strategy including scalability, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
