Job summary

Peterson Cat is seeking a Project Engineer to act as a technical liaison between Sales/Project Managers and customers, and to prepare detailed engineering submittals for power systems and marine projects.

The role collaborates with project managers, vendors, and customers, with up to 10% travel to job sites and meetings outside the local territory. A Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least three years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of three years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical liaison between Sales/Project Managers and Customers.
• Work with contractors/customers to answer application and installation questions.
• Prepare detailed engineering submittals for standby power systems, industrial engines, and marine projects.
• Interface with CAT factory and other vendors to gather documentation.
• Generate official correspondence and responses to submittal review comments.
