Job summary

Big-D Mission Critical is seeking a Project Controls Manager to oversee scheduling, cost management, forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking on large-scale data center projects. The role can be based in Reno, NV or travel as needed.

You will lead the data-driven controls function across project teams to deliver on-time and on-budget outcomes. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in project controls for major construction, strong proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost management, or construction management.
• Experience on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Excel, and project management software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, cost controls, forecasting, and budget reporting.
• Develop and maintain master schedules, milestone tracking, and recovery plans.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, earned value, and key performance metrics.
• Analyze schedule and cost impacts, risks, and change management activities.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for project leadership and clients.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure alignment of schedule and cost objectives.
• Support monthly forecasting, cash flow analysis, and project performance reviews.
• Identify trends and develop mitigation strategies to improve project outcomes.Assist with executive reporting and client-facing project controls presentations.
