Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Architect to lead data center and mission-critical projects from our New Jersey office in Pennington. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop technical designs, manage construction documents, and ensure code compliance across projects in the United States.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, 5+ years of experience, and registration as an Architect. Proficiency with Revit and MS Office, strong communication, and a collaborative, employee-owned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in architecture or related role.
• Registered Architect.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and related tools/processes.
• Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of technical design concepts, design management, digital technologies, and design workflow for Data Centers/Technical Facilities.
• Lead owner/client and internal meetings, and review with agencies for code compliance.
• Manage design activities and production of detailed construction documents.
• Review architectural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Perform QA/QC and cross-discipline technical reviews.
• Write and edit architectural specifications.
• Coordinate with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.
• Incorporate changes into project documents.
• Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
• Conduct site work sessions with Client Representatives, Project Managers and others.
• Perform other duties as needed.
