Job summary

Meta is seeking a forward thinking engineer to join the Production Operations team within our Data Centers. These Data Centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered.

The candidate should have knowledge of Linux and server hardware support, and experience in Networking, OS repair, tooling or automation, and programming or scripting in Python, SQL, or shell.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holds Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field.
• Knowledge of Linux and server hardware support.
• Experience in Networking, Programming/Scripting, Hardware, or OS repair.
• Solid communication skills are required for this role.
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, RAID, DHCP is preferred.
• Experience modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and/or shell scripting.

We seek an IT professional with technical skills in server hardware and Linux - ideally in a Data Center environment. The candidate should have knowledge or experience in a few of the following core areas: Hardware repair, OS management, Tooling and Automation, Networking, or Technical Project Management. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employmentCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical field, or equivalent experience/certificationKnowledge of Linux and server hardware supportWorking knowledge and experience in at least one obvious core area: Networking, Programming/Scripting, Hardware, or OS repairSolid communication skills are a requirement for this role Working conceptual knowledge of technologies such as HTTP, DNS, RAID, and DHCPExperience modifying and developing in Python, SQL, and/or shell scripting
