Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Purchasing Manager to lead the strategic buy-out of electrical commodities for data center projects. The role interfaces with suppliers weekly and coordinates with a General Foreman to align material needs with project phases.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in electrical purchasing, strong cost-reduction and project-management skills, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and MS Office. Dynamic team environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent industry experience.
Five (5) years of Purchasing experience required (Construction of Electrical Distribution preferred).
Licensure/Certifications: None required.

Responsibilities

Strategic buy-out of electrical commodities for project needs.
Onboard vendor engagement processes: RFP, QCS, Submittals, Fabrication & Scheduling Updates, & Meeting Minutes with Action Item Log.
Develop Bills of Material with General Foreman and interface with suppliers weekly.
Execute site purchasing programs: onsite consignments, hold for release packages, Go-carts, and kitting.
Expedite, track, and report material deliveries to site; issue accurate purchase orders; assist Accounts Payable with discrepancies.
